BC Housing 

What is it? Subsidized and/or affordable housing all over British Columbia.  BC Housing works in partnership with the private and non-profit housing sectors, provincial health authorities and ministries, other levels of government and community groups to develop a range of housing options. They also provide services for independent supported living, emergency shelter, elder housing services, women fleeing abuse and housing services for Aboriginal people.

How to apply? There are two ways;

Ishtar Transition Housing Society

What they do? Ishtar provides safe, clean, temporary emergency shelter and counselling services to women and their children who are feeling domestic violence and abuse.  Locally they have two houses;

Stepping Stone Community Services Society

Arbour Creek Estates:  Has 16 two, three and four-bedroom units designated for low to moderate-income families. Individuals may or may not require supports from community living support workers. Applications for family housing are available through BC Housing.

What it is? Provides a list of affordable housing rentals that is maintained for subsidized and co-operative housing for families, seniors and disabled persons
