HDSMS Community Programs and Clubs to keep students engaged and connected
Mondays: Kids Play 3-4pm
It takes a village to raise a child. Kids Play is a non-profit organization that mentors our kids. They play sports, games, and often go on field trips. It is a program where kids grow and flourish.
Tuesdays: Chess Club 2:55-4pm
In the Community Room -you may be eligible to play in their chess club tournament at the end of the year!
Wednesday: Youth Unlimited 3-4pm
After School Chill Club will run from 3-4pm on Wednesdays in the Community Room. After School Chill is all about providing a safe place for students to build positive relationships with mentors and to build community with other students. Every week it will be something slightly different. Board games, painting, games in the gym… maybe even a trip to the skating rink! We’re looking forward to seeing you there.
Thursday: Spath 3-5pm
“Spath School’s Out Club is a program for self-Identifying Indigenous youth to support self-esteem, sense of belonging and school success through promoting positive peer relationships, cultural teachings, homework support, and fun activities! We do activities like beading or painting, as well as have guest Knowledge Keepers on occasion! Snacks included!
Friday: Tim’s After 3
Come hang out after school with your friends or meet new friends. Our Langley City staff will be here to provide snacks, cooking, games, and also, arts and crafts.
