HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY! Hope all you amazing female role models for our students enjoyed your day! We have a ton of things going on this week so please be sure to read through the information below.
Information To Share:
2017-2018 WEB Applications: Last week our grade 7s had an assembly and were invited to apply to be WEB (Where Everyone Belongs) Leaders for next school year. This amazing program allows them to act as mentors for our incoming grade 6s while being active leaders in a variety of ways around the school (athletics, spirit days, community, student council, etc). If you child is interested, please have them see Mrs Chapman, Ms McArthur or Ms Cooper for information and application forms.
Dress Guidelines: As the weather starts to get warmer, just a reminder of the district Dress Guidelines. HD Stafford is a learning environment and staff and students are required to dress accordingly. Please take a moment to go over this with your child.
Closed Campus: Just a reminder to students that HD Stafford Middle is a “closed campus” meaning children MUST stay on school grounds during the day unless permitted by a parent or staff. Please take a moment to remind your child of this policy.
Summer Session: Registration for this year’s summer session opens April 10th. All necessary information and registration can be found by clicking here.
Athletics Schedule: We have a lot going on with regards to athletics so please click here each week to see the latest schedule (same as last week).
PAC Update: Please click here for the minutes from our last meeting.
PAC elections took place and the executive committee for the 2017-2018 school year will be:
President Tricia Mein
Vice President Shannon Hindley
Treasurer Michael Hylands
Secretary Tanya Lightbody
Hawks Nest Coordinator Jennifer Parsons
Members at Large Chrissy Bradford and Jen Elderkin
We are still looking for a DPAC representative. This person would attend the monthly DPAC meetings and report back to our PAC. If you are interested, please let us know.
Thank you to all the volunteers we’ve had this year. We appreciate your support.
Staff Appreciation Lunch
To show our support and appreciation of the incredible HDSMS staff, the PAC will be hosting a luncheon on May 31 for all Staff.
Unfortunately this fundraiser was not very successful, raising less than $150. This means that we are not able to fulfil all requests we receive from HDSMS staff.
For those of you who did order, we will be in touch very soon regarding the delivery date.
The final PAC meeting of the month will be on Wednesday June 14th at 6:30pm in the library.
What’s Up At LSS: Langley Secondary regularly puts out a blog celebrating the awesome things going on there. Here is the latest edition of What’s Up At LSS
Community Announcements: Often HD Stafford gets valuable information from community organizations in our surrounding area. These will be shared on the following link. This week we have the following:
