We officially wave the white surrender flag to winter …. you win. More snow in the forecast as we head into Spring Break. Busy week … here’s what’s coming up This Week At HDSMS. 

Information To Share:

Report Cards: Report cards were released online last Friday. If you were unable to access your child’s, please email myedbcsupport@sd35.bc.ca to get set up. There are printed copies available in the office upon request for this term. Contact the office if you wish one.

Early Dismissals: Students will be dismissed one hour early on both Wednesday March 8th and Thursday March 9th for Parent Teacher/Student led Conferences.

Parent-Teacher/Student Led Conferences: Please be sure to sign up for a time by clicking here starting this Tuesday, February 28th at 9:00am.

Langley Celebrates Diversity Letter: Please click here for an important letter going out to all communities in the Langley School District this week. It celebrates the diversity within our schools, specifically relating to the LGBTQ+ community and is a wonderful reinforcement of what we believe and want for our students.

Douglas Park Elementary is Looking for Leaders: Douglas Park Spring Explorations are around the corner.  We are looking for student or parent leaders in the explorations programs. If you have a skill you want to teach elementary students or would like to assist in our explorations programs currently running, please connect with Mr.Hendy in the community room or email Bhendy@sd35.bc.ca

Spring Break: This year’s Spring Break starts this Saturday, March 11th. School reopens Monday March 27th.

Red Cross Babysitting Course: So you want to be a babysitter? Or, your parents want you to take this course so they feel confident leaving you at home alone? Babysitting with First Aid Hero emphasizes learning through real life scenarios. information covered includes: Exploring the business of babysitting, creating safe environments, safely caring for ages 0-12, and first aid skills. Cost is $60.00 plus GST.  Click here to register.
