Was great to get some sunshine today. Maybe a sign that spring has finally sprung weather-wise. We have a short week but a very busy one so please take a minute to read the information below.

Information To Share:

Good Friday And Easter Monday: Just a reminder that this Friday is Good Friday and the following Monday is Easter. School is not in session for these days.

International Day of Pink: April 12 is International Day of Pink is a day against homophobic, transphobic, and all forms of bullying. Celebrate diversity and challenge stereotypes by wearing pink.

Grade 5 Parent Info Night: This Wednesday we are having our information night for grade 5 parents and students coming to HD Stafford Middle in the fall. It will run from 6:00pm to 7:00pm followed immediately by our PAC meeting. If you know someone with a student coming new to us next year, please let them know.

Class Placement For Next Year: As we begin the process of planning for next school year, we always want to give parents a voice in class placements. As you can imagine, the education professionals put a lot of thought into classroom composition. If you would like to pass along any information regarding this, please email the principal (sdavids@sd35.bc.ca) directly.

EdCamp35: Our fourth annual EdCamp35 is coming up on April 29th. It is being hosted by HD Stafford Middle School and is a great “unconference.” It brings together all stakeholders for a great day of learning and connecting. It is free and includes lunch. Register at www.edcamp35.com

Summer Session: Registration for this year’s summer session opens April 10th. All necessary information and registration can be found by clicking here.

 Red Cross Babysitting Course: So you want to be a babysitter? Or, your parents want you to take this course so they feel confident leaving you at home alone? Babysitting with First Aid Hero emphasizes learning through real life scenarios. information covered includes: Exploring the business of babysitting, creating safe environments, safely caring for ages 0-12, and first aid skills. Cost is $60.00 plus GST.  Click here to register.

PAC Update: Spring Fundraiser – Please keep an eye out for our Spring Fundraiser with DFS Canada. The catalogue will be going home with students next week. We are offering online and paper order forms.

The PAC earns 40% of all sales, so please take a look at the catalogue when your student(s) bring it home.  More info to come on deadlines and deliveries.
