Happy New Year!! I hope everyone was able to have an amazing Christmas season! This time of year always goes so quickly so hopefully you were all able to soak it up. As many of you have heard, we are having a different start up this January so please check out the information below.
New Information To Share
Welcome Back: Hopefully everyone in Skyhawk Nation had a wonderful holiday break! It was incredible to have a legitimate white Christmas and then even more snow to have fun in ( the first time since 2008!). This is always a great time to rest, recharge and enjoy family! We are excited as we head into this next part of the school year.
Information Bulletin: For those who missed it, click here for the latest information bulletin from Superintendent Mal Gill outlining some information regarding the restart plan.
Students Attending This Week: HD Stafford Middle School is open to support students who are returning during the week of January 4th – 7th as outlined above. Please ensure that you complete the daily health check before deciding to come to school. Please line up at your regular exterior class meeting spot and staff will be there to greet students. Depending on numbers, we will be combining some classes while maintaining as much spacing as possible. There will be no new curriculum introduced during this week. Finally, a reminder to please be sure you bring and wear you mask if you are attending.
Students Remaining At Home: Just a reminder that there will be no online/virtual learning during the week of January 4th – 7th. Students may continue to practice daily reading and writing as well as physical activity outside. Some teachers will be reaching out to their students during the week via MS Teams to ensure they are setup and ready
Adjustments To Restart Plan: Part of the work for staff this first week is to make adjustments at HD Stafford based on the updated guidelines from the Public Health Officer. Any significant changes (schedules, practices, etc) will be communicated to parents prior to all students returning January 10th.
Questions: If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Mr. Hantke directly (email@example.com). We know these are difficult times for families as we continue to navigate this pandemic. We want to be sure we can reduce student and family anxieties as much as possible.
Take good care Everyone!
